The museum funds are formed in four main areas : flora , zoology , geology , poster fund. Permanent exhibition is located in the six halls of the museum and talks about nature and biodiversity Belarusian wildlife.
Museum exhibits tell about the minerals, the development of the organic world , aquatic and semi-aquatic plants , seasonal changes in nature, behavior of birds in urban areas , anomalous phenomena in the animal world , associated with changes in environmental conditions .
The museum holds great educational and advocacy on environmental Preserve , parks, natural monuments . Adults and children talk about how important it is to protect the native nature , how little is left of rare animals and plants listed in the Red Book. Some animals , birds, fish and plants were only as museum exhibits that everyone can see at the Museum of Nature and Environment of the Republic of Belarus.
Particular attention is given to the museum in the younger generation. The museum hosts educational and informative lectures and tours of flora and fauna native land , its minerals " Of fairy tale in nature ", " Who lives in the forest ? ", " Along the forest path ," " pages of the Red Book of Belarus" " The flora and fauna of reservoirs , marshes, coastal thickets ," " Birds of neighbors on the planet ", " Familiar Strangers ", " Minerals ". For children organized quizzes, contests , holidays.

Государственный музей природы и экологии Республики Беларусь открыт в Минске в феврале 1992 года. Музей расположен по адресу: ул. Карла Марква, д. 12. Общая площадь экспозиций музея составляет 450 кв. м.
Фонды музея формируются по четырем основным направлениям: флора, зоология, геология, плакатный фонд. Постоянная экспозиция располагается в шести залах музея и рассказывает о природе и биоразнообразии белорусской живой природы.
Выставки музея рассказывают о полезных ископаемых, развитии органического мира, водных и околоводных растениях, сезонных изменениях природы, поведении птиц в городских условиях, аномальных явлениях в животном мире, связанных с изменениями экологической обстановки.
Музей проводит большую воспитательную и разъяснительную работу по природоохранным объектам: заповедникам, паркам, памятникам природы. Взрослым и детям рассказывают о том, как важно беречь родную природу, как мало осталось редких животных и растений, занесенных в Красную Книгу. Некоторые животные, птицы, рыбы и растения остались только в качестве музейных экспонатов, которые все желающие могут увидеть в музее природы и экологии Республики Беларусь.
Особое внимание в музее уделяется подрастающему поколению. В музее проводятся учебные и познавательные лекции и экскурсии о животном и растительном мире родного края, о его полезных ископаемых: «Из сказки в природу», «Кто в лесу живет?», «По лесным тропинкам», «По страницам Красной Книги РБ», «Животный и растительный мир водоемов, болот, прибрежных зарослей», «Пернатые соседи по планете», «Знакомые незнакомцы», «Полезные ископаемые». Для детей организуются викторины, конкурсы, праздники.
