Summer is my favorite season. Summer holidays give the longest rest from studying of the year that’s why I like them so much.
In June I stayed at home and my parents were at work. But I was glad because at last I had time for myself. I read books, listened to music, watched films and visited my friend. I spend most days outdoors and got a nice sun tan.
Then I spent two weeks in the summer camp on the seaside. It was a real fun. I met a lot of new friends. Every day we enjoyed something special - games, carnivals, competitions, performances. We went to the seaside twice a day. There we swam, bathed in the sun, played volleyball on the beach, made sculptures of sand. We had discos every night, but not too long. I guess, those were the most exciting weeks of the summer. It gave me bright impressions, lots of funny photos and some new friends.
Then my parents were on vacation and so they took me to my parent’s place in the village. It’s a very picturesque place with a forest and a river nearby. I was happy to see my grandmother and grandfather. I spent hot days on the riverbank. Once we went hiking with my parents, made fire, gathered some berries. The summer forest is very beautiful. In the evening I usually helped in the garden.
Last month of the summer I was at home again, having rest from such an intensive rest! I did usual things and prepared for school. I like my summer holidays!

Until 1945 Korea was occupied by Japan. After the Second world war, the territory of Korea North of the 38th parallel was occupied by the Soviet Union, and to the South — the United States. The USSR and the USA failed to negotiate the unification of the country, which led to the formation in 1948 two different governments, the Northern (Pro-Soviet) and southern (Pro-American), each of which claimed control over all of Korea. The conflict between the southern and Northern governments led to the Korean war, which involved many countries of the world.
The Korean war (1950-1953) conflict between North Korea and South Korea, which lasted from 25 June 1950 to 27 July 1953 (although the official end of the war was not declared). Often this conflict of the cold war is seen as a proxy war between the US and its allies and forces of China and the Soviet Union.
Part of the Northern coalition were: North Korea and its armed forces, Chinese army (because officially it was believed that the Chinese conflict was not involved, the regular Chinese troops formally considered compounds the so-called "Chinese people's volunteers"); the Soviet Union, which is also not officially involved in the war, but largely took over its financing, and also sent to the Korean Peninsula part of the air force and numerous military advisers and specialists. From the South in the war took part: South Korea, USA, UK and Philippines. The war also involved many other countries in the peacekeeping forces of the UN.
In South Korea, the war is called "the June 25 Incident" Ohio saben (date of the outbreak of hostilities), or Hanguk, Congen. Until the early 1990s, it is also often called "Havoc 25 Jun", Ogio wounds.
