MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS
I like summer holidays very much. It is warm and I have a lot of free time in the fresh air. Usually I spend June at the sea-side. We go to Sochi. My parents and I have been there several times. It is a nice town and there are many interesting places to see.
The weather is usually fine. It is hot, the sun shines all day. I like to swim in the Black Sea and sunbathe on the beach.
In July my parents go to their work and I go to a sports camp. The camp is situated not far from our city and it takes us two hours to get there. We have many interesting things to do there. There is a forest near our camp and we pick berries and mushrooms in the morning.
In the afternoon we play games, swim in the river, read books and magazines. In the evening we dance, go for a walk, play chess and watch TV.
When August comes I go to the country to visit my grandmother and grandfather. They have a big old house in a village and I come to see them and to help. There is much work to do. I water the plants - carrots, cabbages, beets, take care of hens and geese, help my grandfather to repair the old house.
I return back to the city at the end of August. I meet friends, we tell each other interesting stories about our summer time. In a week or so we start our new school year and begin to dream about next summer.
