Round the Year
There are three hundred and sixty-five days in a year. There are twelve
months in a year. They are: January, February, March, April, May, June, July,
August, September, October, November and December. January is the first and
December is the twelfth month of the year.
There are seven days in a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
and Friday are weekdays. Saturday and Sunday are our days off. At weekends
working people have a rest. But cadets have classes on Saturday. So, they have got
only one day off. It’s Sunday.
We have many national holidays. On the 8 th (eighth) of March we celebrate
the International Women’s Day. There are two holidays in May. May Day – the
Day of Solidarity of Working People and the Victory Day. We also have a holiday
in December – on the 12 th (twelfth) of December we celebrate the Constitution
Day.
And of course, we celebrate New Year’s Day and Christmas, which are
wonderful holidays.
