Dear Diego,
A Welcome to England! I'm your English guide! I can show
you around St. John's Secondary School and answer your
questions. I hope you enjoy your term here.
B. You have to arrive at school before 8.50. Lessons start at
9.10, after assembly. There are four lessons in the morning,
with a short break at 10.50.
C С Lunch is at 12.45. There's a canteen. The food isn't bad, but
you don't have to buy lunch there. You can bring a packed
lunch or buy sandwiches at the shop opposite reception.
D There are two lessons after lunch. On Tuesdays, we have P.E.
If you forget your P.E. kit, you have to stay at school for an
extra 30 minutes. So don't forget it!

Dear Michael,

       Thanks a lot for your last letter that I have received not long ago. I am sorry that you had to leave your school when your family moved to another neighbourhood.

         Believe me, I know how you are feeling now, because I went through a situation like this two years ago.

          Though, I think you exaggerate this problem, because I know it is not too difficult to make new friends at a new school as you think. That is what I like most, - everywhere you go, you can find a bunch of people that are friendly and easy-going. That was occured to me when I acquainted with my new schoolmates.

          My new school is situated near a large lake as you know, and that makes going there even more exciting. As you can imagine, we have a lot of fun playing soccer and volleyball in spring and autumn on the banks of the lake. Winter is a time for hockey and skating. Of course we do these kinds of activities after our homework is finished.

           So, don`t be so upset, I am sure meeting of new friends at your new school is just a matter of time. It won`t be long untill the right people come along !

It is very hot in Uzbekistan in summer. In fact summer starts here in May and lasts until the end of September. The hottest days are usually from 25 June to August 5. The middle level of temperature during this period is about 33 °С and sometimes it can go as high as 50 °C. It almost never rains in summer.
