My Hobby is Kickboxing
When we have some free time we can choose how to spend it. Quite a lot of schoolchildren play games on their smartphones or computers, but my hobby is kickboxing.
I started doing kickboxing not so long ago (=недавно, но если давно, то напишите "a long time ago"). I have my training sessions twice a week — on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our instructor is strict but fair and I like our training.
I chose kickboxing for a few reasons. First of all it helps me to be fit and strong. Now I fall ill more rarely. Secondly, it improves my level of coordination. Thirdly, kickboxing is a great way to kick stress out of my body and it helps me to stay calm. Another important reason is that I wanted to be able to defend myself from bullies.
So if you want to be healthy and physically fit, kickboxing is the right activity for you.
