Hurricane Katrina is the most destructive hurricane in the history of the USA. It was a category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane scale, and the sixth strongest hurricane in the Atlantic basin in recorded history. It took place at the end of August 2005. The most severe damage was caused to New Orleans in Louisiana, where about 80% of the city's area was under water. In the result of the disaster 1836 residents were killed, economic losses amounted to $125 billion. The hurricane began to form on August 23 in the region of Bahamas. On Monday, August 29, 2005, hurricane Katrina reached the south-eastern coast of the United States near Louisiana and Mississippi. In the zone of its action were Louisiana, South and centre of Mississippi, South Alabama, West Georgia, West and South Florida. Economic damage amounted to $125 billion.  For the restoration of the affected areas, the USA Congress allocated $110 billion. In August 2006, more than 100,000 families were living in trailers because of the loss of their homes.

I like the white chrysanthemums, red tulips, simple field daisies. But my favorite flower - it is still a rose!

Rose bushes in our country planted in flowerbeds to beautify the streets and estates. Lovers men give their chosen one of the bouquets of flowers. Rose said no wonder the queen of flowers. Its petals are lush and tender at the same time. Especially nice to see when these delicate petals hiding dewdrop. It looks like a small jewel.

And what a heavenly scent is rose! Only one flavor of this flower is worthy of the royal crown. He draws attention to the bright butterfly, striped bees. They are stocking a rose sweet nectar. Rose gives the outside world not only its beauty, it is also useful.

Beauty-rose growing on the long, slender stalk. Often, this stem is covered with sharp spines. But this does not take away from me my favorite flower. I understand that just rose to defend. It would be a shame if such a beauty ate some pests or livestock.

There are many types of roses: bright red, maroon, white, pink, cream, yellow and more. Scientists have even brought varieties with black petals! I love the diversity of this is red and pink roses. While white is a wonderful ... All roses are very good, and it is difficult to choose among them the best grade. I wholeheartedly love this flower and always happy to see roses in the gardens, in bouquets or flower beds
