Day and night the ship sailed on. One day was very like another, but Buck noticed that the weather (grow) was growing colder. At last, one morning, the ship (stop) stopped, and everyone on board (excite) was excited. Buck (feel) (excite) ___felt excited, as (do) did the other dogs, and he (know) __knew that a change (come) would come soon. Fancis (put) put a rope round them, and (bring) ___brought them off the ship. At the first step, Buck’s feet (go) went down in something very like mud. It (be) was white and soft. More of this white stuff (fall) __was falling through the air. Buck (shake) shook himself, but more of it (fall) fell on him. He (smell) __smelt it curiously, then (taste) tasted some of it on his tongue. It was his first snow.

I learn to school. 5 days a week I have different lessons. On Monday I have 6 lessons: First lesson - Russian language, second lesson - mathematics,
Third lesson - PE, fourth lesson - literature. My favourite subject is English.
English is very important subject as it has become the most used language in politics, science, trade and cultural relations in the world. It is also the language of great literature. Such writers as William Shakespeare, Walter Scott, Charles Dickens and Bernard Shaw wrote in English. It gives me great pleasure to read their books in the original.
I learn English at school. I also read English books, magazines and newspapers. I watch video films and listen to songs in English.
I have a Walkman, so I often listen to songs or teaching cassettes when walking or in the underground. I write new words on little cards and look them through every evening before going to sleep.
I hope that in the future I’ll speak English fluently!
