Legends of our Motherland Influence our character greatly

In every country there are folk legends and tales which play an important role in culture. On the one hand, legends are very old and they reflect ideals and values of the people living in the country. On the other hand, legends have always been an important factor in shaping people's characters.  Our legends and tales teach us how to behave in different situations, they tell us what is good and what is bad.

I live in Russia. Our country is famous for its rich folk art. In Russian legends and fairy tales good triumphs over evil, brave and kind people are rewarded, while greedy and stupid people are left with nothing. My favourite Russian legend which is called "Those who desire less are given more" is a great example. The title  of the legend conveys its main idea — it teaches us to be humble, hard-working and patient.

As you can see, legends teach us important truths and they are valuable for education of people. Therefore, legends should not be forgotten.

___

ABOUT THE RIVER ULITA

On the anonymous small river flowing into Tuloma, there lived once with the family in old веже the Sami the fisherman.
They lived well, didn't take in head to deliver yet to the fisherman new, spacious I see on the beautiful high coast of the small river.
When вежа it was put, the wife of the fisherman became spill and shavings to dump in water. The fisherman saw it and speaks:
— Don't throw shaving into water!
And itself I went to the wood behind firewood.
The wife didn't listen to the husband, dumped all garbage in water and cleared the hill.
Shavings departured down.
In those days the gang of Swedish robbers wandered down the river to Tuloma. Was their hundred people. They noticed the fresh shavings floating on water, went upstream, saw a smoke from new big knit and came to the high coast. Lodged in веже.
The senior from gang began to live with the wife of the fisherman, and to the daughter the others asked in marriage.
When the owner came back from the wood, robbers seized him and tied to a tree for the night — threatened to kill him if he where there live Sami doesn't tell.
There was no wish to die to the Sami. He saw the daughter who followed water, and asked it to untie ropes. The daughter answered the father that is better to live her with mother and with newcomers, than with the father,
And when the small son ran out on the street, the father asked it for the help, and that agreed. In the evening the boy remained to play on the street and when all fell asleep, approached to the father, untied ropes and released it.
Having come to be on freedom, the owner took the sword thrust in the earth which Swedish robbers wanted to behead him, entered in I see and finished with them.
The wife and the daughter were released by the Sami.
Since then Tuloma's this inflow also name Ulita, by the name of wives of the Sami.
