Sights of Lugansk: tanks. In the center rise two British tanks "Mark V" issued in 1917-18. Both tanks participated in military operations during the civil war in the army of General Denikin and were captured by the Red Army. In 1938 they were removed from the arsenal on the orders of the People's Commissar of Defense K. Voroshilov and handed over to various cities of the USSR as historical monuments. Of course, Voroshilov could not give such valuable specimens to his native city, which was renamed Voroshilovgrad several times in his honor.
