3 Claire is a Year 11 pupil. She supports the WWF. Read and say what you think about her activity. "We have lots of organizations which try to help. There are NGOs like the WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature) which try to protect animals and their environments, OXFAM which helps people in disasters and emergencies, and so on. I try to play my part. We have 'Flag Days' when we stand in the street and collect money from people. We have official badges so people can recognise us and we are licensed by the city authorities. People are generous It usually takes me just four hours to collect £70. That's about $115." Прочитайте и что вы думаете о тексте на английском языке.

William Shakespeare was born in 1564. His father John was a glove maker, his mother Mary was a farmer’s daughter. He had 2 younger sisters and 3 younger brothers.
He studied Latin, Greek and history, but left his school at the age of 14. He married Anne Hathaway, had daughter and twins. Before 1590 he had left Stratford and went to London, where he worked as an actor. There he started to write plays. Shakespeare helped to build a new theatre, which was called “The Globe”. He’s famous for his great comedies with happy endings, like “a midsummer Night’s dream”. He also wrote many tragedies with sad endings such a “romeo and juliet”. He had wrote 38 plays. memory includes a day at the ballpark.

C. Modem baseball began about 150 years ago in New York, USA and has been popular

sport ever since. It has changed a little bit over the years but the basic game remains the

same. Baseball is played with a bat, which is a stick of about 100 cm long, made of metal or

wood, and a small hard ball. Each player wears one heavy leather glove to catch the ball.

D. The game of baseball is divided into nine parts, called innings. During an inning, each

of the two teams takes its turn to bat, which means trying hit the ball that is thrown to them

by the pitcher of other team. After the ball is hit, the player tries to run and touch three

There are thousands of sports: football, basketball, tennis, etc. But my favorite sport is volleyball. Volleyball is a sport, a sport, a team game. During which two teams compete on a special platform divided by a grid. The meaning of the game is that the ball needs to get on the side of the opponents. Volleyball is one of the most popular, simple and affordable sports. To play it, you do not need large financial expenses and special physical training. Beach, ball, friends-and you can start having fun! I love this sport not only because it is very interesting and fun, but also because volleyball is quite a useful sport. It is proved that regular ball play has a General tempering and strengthening effect on the body, as well as significantly increases the body's endurance.

Volleyball also improves blood circulation, strengthens the heart and cardiovascular system, and has a positive effect on the lungs and respiratory system. It is worth noting that regular volleyball classes strengthen the musculoskeletal system, improve joint mobility. My favorite sport is volleyball. He develops many qualities in me-precision, restraint and balance. And most importantly, after every game I feel stronger. After all, sport is the key to health. my favorite world star Regla Torres also plays volleyball
