I walk under the shallow rain, around me is a wet winter blackness. The lanterns tremble and blur. Streets instantly emptied - only placer variegated windows show that the city still has a life. I do not know what will happen next. Perhaps lightning will fall from the sky and incinerate me with a noiseless fire. By the way, recently, as the press reported, two people were killed by lightning in St. Petersburg during a thunderstorm. Or maybe I'll get in the most banal way under the car: a ghost will appear, a heavy one, dressed in a goggle-eyed metal, blow up the engine, crush the soft flesh. It's so simple: zipper - and I'm no more. And maybe there will not be anything at all. I will continue year after year to overcome the mournful worldly cycle. In fact - to whom and why do I need? Destination, if I had it, is executed to the end, who is interested now in the waste material? If you do not climb the trouble, if it is hard working, as one wise Frenchman advised, to cultivate your own garden, then you can live peacefully and, probably, without any special problems.
