Were you (29) LUCKY enough to be invited to the opening of the Winchester Art Gallery last Thursday evening? I was, and therefore had the pleasure of seeing the new (30) EXHIBITION of Daniella Warner's paintings. Daniella Warner is not (31) FAMOUS yet — but she's clearly an (32) ARTIST who has a very bright future. All Daniella Warner's paintings – without (33) EXCEPTION - are (34) IMAGINATIVE. She very often paints areas of outstanding (35) NATURAL beauty, such as lakes and forests, but she makes them (36) EXCITING, lively places. Her paintings often focus on the subjects of (37) FREEDOM and peace. It's certainly not easy to be a (38) SUCCESSFUL artist these days, but if anyone deserves it, Daniella Warner does. Daniella Warner's paintings will be on show at the Winchester Art Gallery until Saturday 25th March.
- Jack I need to know more about sports in the Great Britain, can you help me?
+ Yeah, of course!
what should I do?
- Just answer my questions completely.
+ Okay, let's get started.
- What are the most popular games in England nowadays?
+ Well, I suppose football that is soccer or rugger, and cricket.
- What are the other outdoor games?
+ Oh, there is tennis, golf and so on. Tennis is played all the year round – on hard courts or grass courts in summer, and on hard or covered courts in winter.
- What about horse-racing?
+ I should say that that is one of the most popular sports in Great Britain. Then there are, of course, walking-races, running, swimming and boxing.
- I’ve been told that there are no winter sports in England.
+ Well, you see, the English winter isn’t very severe as a rule, and we don’t often have a chance of skiing, skating or tobogganing. But winter is a great time for hunting, providing the ground is not too hard.
- Are there any golf courses to be had near London?
+ Oh, yes, any amount. There are dozens of good golf links within an hour or so of London. You ought to join a golf club if you’re keen on the game.
- I think I shall if I get a chance. And what about indoor games?
+ Well, there’s chess, billiards, table tennis and so on. By the way, do you play billiards?
- Well, I do, but of course, I’m not a professional or a champion. I’m just an ordinary amateur and not a very good one at that.

+ Maybe we should try a game of billiards.
- OK, that would be enjoyable.
