AN UNUSUAL HOME A I’m Tim Theakstone and I live in a very unusual home in the UK. Most of my house is under the ground. The house isn’t very big. It’s got a small kitchen at the front and next to that is a living room, with two comfortable sofas. At the back of the house are the bathroom and the bedroom.
B I live here with my wife, Jenny. She’s in the kitchen at the moment. I usually do the cooking, but Jenny’s cooking today because I’m writing this blog.
C One good thing about being underground is that the house is naturally warm. It uses solar energy to heat water, and that works well. I also love the house because it’s really beautiful. Friends love to visit us!
D Of course, not everything is perfect. The house is quite dark because there are only three windows at the front of the house. We’ve got a lot of lamps!
1What is good about the house?
2Where is the house?
3Are there any problems with the house?
4 What are the people who live in the house doing right now?
5What rooms has Tim’s house got?

The text begins with description of a very famous store Harrods in London. In the beginning it was just a small grocer's shop that was opened in 1849 and run by Charles Henry Harrod. Even after a fire, two World Wars, two bombings Harrods survived and moved abroad, then opened a branch in Japan and some in other countries. Today a lot of people visit Harrods and remain speechless because of it's sizes: the store got 300 departments and employs over 4000 stuff. Harrods sells almost everything from clothes to caviar. There you can find bars, restaurants, bank, travel agency and beauty salon. January and July are very busy months for Harrods because they are sale times. The store's motto is "All things, for all people, everywhere" and that's why it's a fascinating place to visit.

Autumn is considered the most capricious, apparently through the variability of fall weather. The sun shines cool, sad rain drips, stand the gray gloomy days, the wind is strong. However be available in the autumn of a Mature majestic beauty.

In September and early October, the nature is lush and bright: the trees are changing already worn the green dress in luxurious Golden robes, decorated with bright yellow and red decorations. The heat passed. There is a clear warm days, the weather is mild, I want to walk through the quiet streets and Milavitsa beauty that surrounds you.

From the wealth of colors already dazzled! Bloom autumn flowers - asters, dahlias, and in the air the scent of the roses floats so far. At the time of the Indian summer everything is covered with mesh spider web. And when will the light drizzle, drops it confused them and glisten in the sun, soaking creations of spiders.

And then autumn is sad. Slowly the leaves fall from the trees, turning into a soft carpet that rustled beneath the feet. And if I hit even a small cold, most trees drop all leaves at the same time. By next spring the birds fly away to warmer climes. It's getting colder, and so I don't want rain, and the rain is more and more often. And the wind is getting stronger. The sun every day comes early, on the street uncomfortable and cold. And autumn, they imperceptibly into winter.
