One day in 1953, a plumber called Harry (was working) in a cellar in York, England when he suddenly saw a Roman soldier on a horse. The horse with its rider (stepped) through the wall of the cellar! More soldiers wearing helmets and carrying swords then followed (them). Harry noticed that the soldiers looked (shorter) than you would expect, even for ancient Romans. He (did not know) the reason until he realized their legs were below the floor of the cellar. In fact, archeologists who (have been digging) in the cellar recently said it was once part of an old Roman road! That’s why the soldiers seemed to be (walking) on their knees! Terrified, Harry ran out of the house. Later, he found out that some Roman soldiers (had disappeared) long ago while fighting in York. That was way back in the (second) century and no trace of them was ever found. Maybe these were the soldiers that Harry saw!
The problem of intergenerational relations is always relevant. Scince not a single person considers life outside the connection of generations. People of different ages must integrate into society and each society is determined by the confrontation of requirements regarding material and cultural guarantees of the existence of an individual’s life. At the same time, every person, regardless of his origin and status, from birth depends on older generations (on parents), and the lack of experience of reliable intergenerational relations threatens the formation and development of personality.
