Lots of people have asked me about short films for learners of English.There are a few really good ones that I can suggest, but are they as good as people say?I’ve watched one of the most interesting series of films called Meet Me, which is for Intermediate level learners.I particularly like the characters and the stories.They follow a group of young friends through a year at home and school,but with lots of adventures. I was very impressed by how well the films are put together.They look very attractive and professional.Unfortunately, there are no subtitles and it’s difficult to understand the speakers sometimes, but you can get a copy of the scripts online to help you.Really, that’s the only disappointing thing about the films.I think I have to say, that all in all, these films are worth watching,but I wouldn’t recommend them to students below intermediate level.They are some of the better films I’ve seen for English language students.
