The term civil law does not always mean a legal tradition. It can also (1) . (contrast) with the term criminal law. In this sense, civil law (2) (con cern) with non-criminal matters, for example, a breach of contract. A civil case involves individuals in a dispute and generally ends in monetary reward.

The Tretyakov Gallery is situated in Moscow. It's one of the most famous galleries in Russia. It has two buildings: the old one and a new modern building. The gallery is named after its founder Pavel Mikhailovich Tretyakov who began to collect paintings of Russian painters "Peredvizhniki" in 1856. This gallery and collections were nationalized in 1918. You саn see there real masterpieces by Repin, Perov, Shishkin, Surikov, Kramskoy, Aivazovsky, Levitan and other Russian painters. The famous Andrei Rublyov's icons reflect the life and soul of Russian people. The Gallery has many new exhibitions now. Every year the Gallery acquires hundreds of new paintings, drawings and sculptures.
