Families have a great-great future. Twenty years ago, the typical extended family was 'wide'. It usually consisted of two or three generations, with many children in each 'nuclear family'. People had lots of aunts and uncles but often didn't know their grandparents. However, according to a new study by the British research group Mintel, the family is changing shape. Here are some of their predictions:
1. Most children will know their great-grandparents (and even great-great-grandparents) because people are living longer.
2. Very few children will have brothers or sisters, and it will be common to be an only child. As a result, future generations will not have many cousins either.
3. Many people will grow up isolated from other children and young adults. This will make them more selfish and introverted.
4. More couples will divorce and re-marry, some more than once. They may have children with their new partners, so many children will have a stepmother or stepfather and half-brothers or sisters.
5. There will be more single-parent families.

First of all I want to tell you that my best friend's name is Igor and he is 15. He is the best person I have ever met. A few  words about his appearance. His height is nearly 149 cm. But he'd like to be a bit taller.  Igor has a round face as everyone has, a bit long nose and big cheerful grey eyes. His forehead is open.  His hair isn't very short but it's not long either. It is straight and black.  I think that he looks like his father.
Igor is very active and creative, cheerful and curious. But the best thing is that he is reliable. We spend much time together. We go for a walk, we play tennis, watch TV, do things which we like. I love my friend.   
Прежде всего, я хочу сказать вам, что моего друга зовут Игорь и ему 15. Он самый лучший человек, которого я когда-либо встречал. Несколько слов об его внешности. Его рост около 149 см. Но он хотел бы быть немного выше. 
У Игоря круглое лицо, как и у всех, немного длинный нос и большие радостные серые глаза.  Eго лоб открытый.   Его волосы не очень короткие, но это не длинные. Они прямые и  черные. Я думаю, что он похож на своего отца.
Игорь очень активный и творческий, жизнерадостный и любознательный. Но самое главное - он надежный. Мы проводим много времени вместе. Мы ходим гулять, играем в теннис, смотрим телевизор, делаем вещи, которые нам нравятся. Я люблю моего друга.
