My Dream
Dreaming is something that most people do every night of their lives. There is a theory that we dream because our minds attempt to organize bits and pieces of information gathered during waking hours. Sometimes our dreams seem to be quite logical, but then there are dreams that make little or no sense. Some people have the same dream many times in their life.
I want to tell about my recurring dream. I think I have had it four or five times already but every time it ended differently. In my dream I was able to fly. Not like a bird that flaps its wings to take off, but like Superman — just putting my hands up and pushing off the ground. I remember the feeling of the fresh air on my face. There was no fear. I was excited and my only concern was not to fly into wires. Once I saw myself flying over my city in the middle of the night trying to find my block of flats. In my last flying dream I was going to be late for school and decided to fly. I stepped out onto our balcony and jumped. I flew not very fast, it was like swimming in the cool morning air, and I dodged obstacles on my way — all the trees, buildings, lampposts and birds. I landed in the school yard and ran into the school just as the bell had rung. Well, that was not the school bell, but my alarm-clock. It was time to get up and go to school.
As I was walking to school that morning I could not help thinking about my dream. It felt so real that I even tried to jump up... but it was, unsurprisingly, just a jump. Anyway, I don't think I'll ever forget this dream and maybe I'll have it once again.
