A toaster is a device powered by an electrical system, designed to quickly fry flat pieces of bread (toast). Depending on the model, the toaster can be designed to fry 2 or 4 pieces of bread (the so-called "toast"). All toasters have heating elements and an adjustable thermostat, with which it is possible to select the necessary mode for cooking more or less toasted toast and speed of cooking. The thermostat is designed for 6-11 temperature control positions. In some toasters put a smooth temperature adjustment. The modern toaster has an electronic control that controls the time of toasting the bread slices, depending on the user selected temperature.
