But in spite of fashion, fine dining, clubbing, shopping in Britain English people travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns, they travel to enjoy picturesque places, or just for a change of scene. Another means of travel is by sea - tour operators in England offer various sea and river trips: from a cruise round Europe on a luxury liner to a sightseeing trip down the Thames in London.
