ВідповідьEaster holiday in Ukraine
Easter is the biggest holiday in the life of an Orthodox person. It is on this day that people and nature are pleased. However, for all the outward farce and not always sincere joy, we forget about the deep meaning that was laid in celebration of this bright holiday. The Resurrection of Christ is first and foremost related to the belief in the redemption of suffering. The resurrection of Christ was, in a way, a vivid indicator of kindness. The people found hope for salvation, forgiveness of sins, healing and eternal life in paradise.
Easter is always celebrated in the spring. It is then that all nature comes to life, winter recedes, and warm spring comes to replace. Perhaps this is the most wonderful time - the sun is shining longer and brighter, warming it all around, as if the Lord God Himself rewards us. By the way, many point out that we are always accompanied by good and sunny weather at Easter. So, indeed, such is the will of Heaven!
It has already been said that our ancestors were very fond of all kinds of customs, so Easter was no exception. Of course, some elements of the celebration are only in history, and some we continue to this day. For example, at Easter at the meeting, everyone says to each other "Christ is Risen", conveying genuine delight. The answer does not take long to wait, and the saying is truly resurrected, as if to confirm that a true miracle had happened.
