As they were travelling on holiday, Tom, Mark and Danny run into a small inn and stayed the night. Inside, the friends saw a policeman and other people wearing very old-fashioned clothes. Tom took a few photos. On their way back home, the friends could not find the inn. After Tom got his photos developed and looked at the pictures, he saw only his friends and a white creature behind them, without any sign of the inn. Tom and Danny returned to the place where they had stood the night, but they found only two ruined buildings. An old man told the boys that there had been an inn there, and a police station next to it, but it had all been about a hundred years ago. The friends realised they had spent the night with ghosts of the past.
