"about myself"
so let me tell you a few words about myself. my full name is ivan morozov. but my friends call me vanya. my name is very ancient and it means "blessed by god". i was named my grandfather. my name is quite common in russia and i like it. i am 17 years old. i am from stavropol. the city is a regional centre with the population of about 500,000 people. it is located in the south of our country. but i was born in kislovodsk and spent my childhood there. when i was 7, i moved to stavropol with my family. i finished school there and now i am going to live in novocherkassk. i like my home city and i miss it very much.
my family is very important for me. i come from a large family. there are five of us. i have a father, a mother, a younger brother and my granny. my father is a businessman and my mother is a housewife. my brother is 8 years old and he goes to school. my granny is a doctor and she works at the hospital. all members of my family are helpful and friendly. we get on well with eachother.
i have finished school successfully this year and now i am a first-year-student of platov south-russian state polytechnic university (npi). it was my choice to enter this university because my dad graduated in many years ago. my major is going to be nanotechnology in electronics. i think it is a very perspective field of engineering and i hope to become a well-qualified bachelor in 4 years.
now i would like to tell you about my interests. i like travelling very much. thanks to my parents, i have visited many places in our country. my dream is to travel around the world. i am keen on sport too. i do boxing and go swimming. when i have free time i go to the gym or cycling. when i am at home, i like reading books, playing computer games, listening to music and watching films. besides, i devote much time to learning english because it is very important for my future job. i am sure that a good specialist must know at least one foreign language.
it's hard to characterize myself because only people surrounding me can see me objectively. people, who know me well, say that i am quite a reliable and serious person. i think my best qualities are patience and creativity. i am very sociable so i have a lot of friends. i am hard-working but sometimes i can be lazy. i like to communicate with smart people who have a good sense of humor. i have when people he and betray.
it the future, i want to be a scientist and do research. i hope to invent something that will be useful for people.
