Marat Zhylanbayev One of the most outstanding people of Kazakhstan is a marathon runner from Ekibastuz Marat Zhylanbayev. He (for the first time in the history of mankind!) Crossed the Sahara running from north to south, thus setting 7 records recorded in the Guinness Book.
