                             My ambitions

I believe every person should have ambitions. Ambitious people are said to achieve higher levels of education, have more prestigious jobs and higher income. An ambition is a person's desire to achieve a goal through a process that demands hard work and determination.

I have a few ambitions in my life and I know what I should do to fulfil them. My first ambition is to become a mass media reporter. I have always been good at languages and my favourite school subjects are Russian Language and Literature and History. I regularly contribute to our school newspaper and I have a few articles published in our regional newspaper. I will need to know English well for my future profession, so I practise it every day. My second life ambition is to have a close-knit family. I love my parents and I want my own family to be like ours. The third ambition of mine is to be happy and live my life to the fullest. I think if I do something I enjoy every day, if I do something good for someone else, I will feel happy.

I often think about these ambitions and it helps me to get my priorities right when I get lazy and don't feel like working.

Я считаю, что у каждого должны быть амбиции. Говорят, что амбициозные люди достигают более высокого уровня образования, имеют более престижную работу и более высокий доход. Амбиция - это желание человека достичь целей через процесс, который требует напряженной работы и решимости.

У меня есть несколько амбиций в жизни, и я знаю, что мне нужно сделать, чтобы осуществить их. Моя первая цель - стать журналистом. У меня всегда было хорошо с языками, а мои любимые школьные предметы - это русский язык, литература и история. Я регулярно пишу в нашей школьной газете, и у меня есть несколько публикаций в нашей региональной газете. Мне нужно хорошо знать английский для моей будущей профессии, поэтому я занимаюсь им каждый день. Моя вторая цель в жизни - создать дружную семью. Я люблю своих родителей и хочу, чтобы моя собственная семья была такой же, как наша. Третья мое амбиция - быть счастливым и жить полной жизнью. Я думаю, что если я  каждый день буду делать то, что мне нравится, если я буду делать что-то хорошее для других людей, то я буду чувствовать себя счастливым.

Я часто думаю об этих амбициях, и это мне правильно расставить приоритеты, когда я ленюсь и не хочу работать.

I have a best friend. Her name is Anna. I met her in a summer camp last year. It turned out that we have a lot in common, things like our hobbies, our favourite kinds of music and many other. That’s why we became friends almost immediately.

Anna is a beautiful girl. She is tall and slim. My friend has dark long hair and beautiful blue eyes. I always admired Ann’s style of clothes. She dresses very prettily and stylishly.

I love my friend for her brilliant character. She is very kind and polite. She is a person, who is always ready to help if I need it. She always tries to be funny and can make me laugh when I feel very sad. But Anna has a bad trait, too. Sometimes she is very stubborn. It's pretty hard to argue with her. But we try to strike a compromise. And it almost always helps. Anna is a very smart girl. She has the highest marks in the class. Therefore, if something goes wrong for me, I always ask for help from a friend. And she never refuses.

I spend a lot of time with Anna. We study at the same school. And we spend almost all free time together. On warm summer evenings we walk along the alleys talking on various topics. We usually watch films in the evenings and eat popcorn. Sometimes it takes all night. My friend has a big dog that I love to play with.

Now every summer we go to the sea with our families. And in the winter, when it is very cold, we go skiing and snowboarding. Without my friend Anna, I could hardly have so much fun. And when she leaves somewhere, I feel sad and lonely. Therefore, I am very glad that I have such a wonderful friend who is always there and ready to support in difficult times. For all the years of our friendship, she has become like a sister for me. We tell each other everything, share secrets and problems. And I hope that our friendship will last forever.
