A few weeks ago I was playing football with my friends when I slipped on the wet grass and felt a sharp pain in my right ankle. I got up and limped off the football ground. I thought I would sit on the bench, the pain would stop and I would be able to play again, but it didn't stop. I had to go home. Later that evening my ankle got swollen, I couldn't stand on my right foot, so my parents took me to the doctor.
The doctor examined my ankle, sent me to have an X-ray and said it was a sprain. He taped my ankle and told me to keep it elevated for about 2 to 3 hours a day.
I followed all the recommendations and a week later my ankle was all right. But I was told not to play football or run for two weeks more.
