Bulgakov, an outstanding Russian writer, called Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, the most beautiful city in the world?
Kiev is also known as the «Mother of all Russian cities», founded one thousand five hundred years ago.
It’s the cultural and economic centre of modern Ukraine.
In the eleventh – twelfth centuries Kiev was the center of Russian principality.
If you’re a fan of Orthodox and historical architecture, Kiev needs to be on your list of great cities in Easter Europe.
