I have a lot of plans for this summer. I really want to meet my friends and spend time with them. My parents and I plan to go to sea. This summer I would like to go to a concert to meet someone. I think this summer will be the best, because there will be people close to me!

Scientists understand a lot about the environment - but they don't understand everything! Every year, there are big and small disasters in different parts of the world. Some of these happen very often, but some of them are a big shock. Why do they happen? If there is a lot of rain or very strong winds, floods can happen. How do these natural disasters affect humans? They can affect ships, blow down houses, cause floods and disrupt traffic. People can drown, lose houses and furniture.

Can we do anything about them?

I think -YES. People and outpace are connected. Mankind influences the environment.  We make permanent harm to our planet. One of the catastrophes that can cause human extinction would of course permanently end our civilization.
