I chose this topic, because I was wondering if it's true that people read less in the new millennium. From the one hand, I agree that people do read less, because they've got multifunctional gadgets (mobile phones, computers, tablets, mp3 players, Tv-sets).Yet, our world has been "grabbed" by Internet. People started to read less. Henceforth, teenagers play computer games, "live" in the social networks, listen to the music. From the other hand, despite the new nanotechonolgies, there're the people who prefer reading books in their free time, also reading some magazines and going to the libraries. After all, many people download books on their tablets, mobile phones, as it's more convenient. In my opinion, it's true that people started to read less. Nowadays, teenagers would rather play some video games than read a book. Every year, it will be harder to find the people who like reading books. At the end, the books will disappear from our life.
Jingle Bells or One Horse Open Sleigh (оригинал James Pierpont) Dashing through the snow In a one-horse open sleigh, Over the fields we go, Laughing all the way; Bells on bob-tail ring, Making spirits bright, What fun it is to ride and sing A sleighing song tonight, O [Chorus 2x:] Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! O what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride, And soon Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side; The horse was lean and lank; Mis fortune seemed his lot; He got into a drifted bank, And we, we got upset. O [Chorus 2x:] Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! O what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh A day or two ago, The story I must tell I went out on the snow And on my back I fell; A gent was riding by In a one-horse open sleigh, He laughed as there I sprawling lie, But quickly drove away, O [Chorus 2x:] Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! O what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh Now the ground is white Go it while you’re young, Take the girls tonight And sing this sleighing song; Just get a bob-tailed bay Two-forty as his speed Hitch him to an open sleigh And crack! you’ll take the lead, O [Chorus 2x:] Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! O what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh.
