Reading Task 3. Read the text and tick T (true) or F (false) Living on a Farm Hello! My name is Emma and I’m eleven years old. I have a younger brother, Josh, who’s just five. I live with my family on a farm in the south west of England. I was born in London, but my parents moved to Devon when I was two. My brother was born here, in Northam. My father runs the farm and my mother is a vet. We’ve got lots of animals on our farm. Some of them are small, like ducks, chickens and rabbits, but others are big, like pigs, lambs, cows or horses. I love living in the country. I don’t mind getting up early every day and I’m usually awake at 6:30. I’m old enough to help my parents with the work on the farm. I love feeding ducks and chickens. It’s not difficult at all. It takes me about a quarter of an hour to give them fodder every morning, but first I have breakfast myself. Sometimes I also help my dad milk the cows, especially at weekends. You have to be very gentle with them or they’ll kick you. My brother and I go to a local primary school. My mother always drives us to school and picks us when lessons finish, at 3 o’clock. On Wednesday I have a karate class so I go back home by bus. When I come back, I usually have a title snack and play with my brother for a while. Then, I do my homework and help my parents with the animals or in the garden. We usually have dinner at 7 o’clock and then time for myself. I often play computer games or watch TV. Before I go to bed, I always read for a while but not too long because I have to get up early. 1.Emma has a sister and a brother. ___ 2.She likes helping on the farm. ___ 3.Her family moved to Devon nine years ago. ___ 4.Emma and her brother go to school by car. ___ 5.Josh is older than Emma. ___ total [5]

Every person needs a friend - a person close to you in spirit , someone with whom to spend time wondering . each - this is the man who will support you in sorrow and in joy , who will always try to help and advise .    but all of us know how to make friends ? and in general - that is true friendship ? it so happens that two people are constantly talking, a lot of time together , but some of them might be trouble or joy, and a strong friendship is gone . about such people usually say that they do not stand the test . some of them are scared of another trouble , did not want to intervene , worried and sometimes even worse - one friend began to envy the other: his successes , joys , victories no wonder they say that true friendship is not checked as much trouble as joy.    so what is , in my opinion , a true friendship ? i think it should be checked for years. when people are friends for many years , they 've been through a lot and have been " a test of strength ." a true friend , i think you only good wishes , has struggled to help make your life better. this does not mean that he always says you only pleasant, not at all! conversely, a true friend can say one of the few , the whole truth in the face, open your eyes to something , to show where you were wrong . after all, this is very important - to stop in time or forward in the right direction , help you understand your mistakes .    a true friend will never betray , not trade you for any benefit or benefits . he can call at any time of the day and tell you everything that 's on your mind , share and get support.     of course , friendship - a concept bilateral . two people equally should cherish their relationship , to protect them , to try to save . and then , in my opinion , friendship is really strong and durable.

today a lot of students think about studying abroad, in highly depeloped countries. let's consider the issue in more detail.

first of all it is a good chance to become a qualified specialist in some field. what's more, diploma of education from universities of such countries as the use, the uk is valued more than from our rissian universities. but you have to study in it more diligently and hard.

secondly, you will have more chances to get busy in work in foreign country if you finished university in it. but to work in foreingn country you are to know its language perfectly.

finally, if you have a dream to live in one country, it may come true. if you have no money, many universities provide a dormitory and pay some living expenses.

to sum up studying abroad has many advantages and disadvantages. in my opinion it is a good way if you would grow in your field of knowledge.
