Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. You can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, and do your homework. You get enough time to travel, play your favorite sports and practice your hobbies.
Most of all I like summer holidays because they are the longest ones. Now I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Crimea.
It was the first time I’ve been there. I’ve been dreamed to visit Crimea for many years but our family couldn’t afford this. This summer my father said we can go to the Black sea. I couldn’t believe my ears. I asked him again if he is serious, but he said he already purchased tickets on the train to Simferopol.
On 5th July we left Kiev and went to Simferopol by train. Our destination was Alushta, so from Simferopol to Alushta we went by trolley-bus. As soon as we reached Crimean Mountains, I was stunned by the scenic views that I only saw in pictures. The road looped between mountains and soon we reached the Angarsky pass. It was the highest point on our road, so then we started to descend and finally we arrived to Alushta!
Alushta is one of the largest towns in Crimea. It’s situated on the seaside between high beautiful mountains. Of course, the main treasure of Alushta is magnificent Black sea!
It was a splendid time. We swimmed, walked by seaside, and visited many sights. Excursion to the Valley of the Ghosts, which is situated near Alushta, amazed me the most. The Valley of the Ghosts is surreal landscape of giant stone pillars that were sculpted by wind erosion. It was incredible sight, because I’ve never seen anything like this!
Also we’ve visited the Dzhur-Dzhur waterfall, the Marble Cave, and the Red Cave. Marble Cave has several underground halls with stalactites and stalagmites of fantastic shapes, resembling people and animals. The Red Cave has an underground river.
Those days were amazing and unforgettable; I wished if I had more days to spend over there. My holidays were exciting and full of joy. I enjoyed immensely. I think that Crimea is a real paradise on earth. I dream to visit it again.
1)Sports play an important role in human life not only adult, but also small! Sports very important occupation as thanks to it people develop, support itself in shape. Each person has to find time for sports what to be healthy and strong. As the Russian proverb speaks: "In healthy TV a sound mind!" Спорт играет важную роль в жизни человека не только взрослого, но и маленького! Спорт очень важное занятие, так как благодаря ему люди развиваются, поддерживают себя в форме. Каждый человек должен удилять время для спорта, что бы быть здоровым и сильным. Как говорит русская пословица:"В здоровом теле-здоровый дух!"
2)London, the capital of Great Britain, is situated on the Thames River. It is the largest city in Europe with a population of eight and a quarter million. It is divided into four parts: the City, Westminster, the West End and the East End. The City is the business and commercial heart of London. Many banks, offices and firms are concentrated there. The Tower and St. Paul's Cathedral are in the centre. The Tower is about 900 years old. Many years ago it was a royal residence, then a prison. Now it is a museum. St. Paul's Cathedral is very large and fine. It was completed in 1710. The famous English architect Christopher Wren planned and built St. Paul's Cathedral. If the City is the business part of London, Westminster is the centre of administration. We can see the Houses of Parliament there. It is a beautiful building with two towers and a very big clock called Big Ben. The Houses of Parliament stand in Parliament Square. Westminster Abbey is opposite the Houses of Parliament. Many great Englishmen were buried in Westminster Abbey. To the west of Westminster Abbey you can see Buckingham Palace. It is the royal residence. The ceremony of the changing of the guards which takes place in front of Buckingham Palace is of great interest to the tourists. Rich people live in the West End. The best and most expensive clubs, restaurants and theatres, beautiful houses and parks are there. The East End — the district of plants, factories, slums and docks — is for the working people. London is unlike any other city in the world. It has rather wide streets but low houses. It looks very grey because there is so much rain and fog there. Only buses and pillar-boxes are red. This city has never been planned and it has many parts which are different from each other.
3)There is no doubt that shopping is a very integral part of life. It is difficult to imagine our life without shops, especially food shops. Almost every day we do shopping that is why it is often said that shopping for food is just an everyday necessity. There are different kinds of shops however a lot of people prefer to do shopping in supermarkets because it is very convenient as they can buy different things at once. Nowadays supermarkets are becoming more popular where people can save their time. There are people who hate going shopping and find it a bit boring and people who say that shopping for food is entertaining. So it is a difficult question, because there are many opinions about it.Без сомнения покупка продуктов является неотъемлемой частью нашей жизни. Трудно представить нашу жизнь без магазинов, особенно продуктовых. Почти каждый день мы делаем покупки, поэтому очень часто говорят, что покупка продуктов это просто необходимость, которую приходится делать каждый день. Существуют различные виды магазинов, тем не менее, многие предпочитают делать покупки в супермаркетах, потому что это очень удобно, так как там можно купить различные виды товаров за один раз. На сегодняшний день супермаркеты становятся наиболее популярными, где люди могут сэкономить свое время. Бывают люди, которые ненавидят ходить по магазинам и находят это занятие достаточно скучным, и люди, которые говорят, что покупка продуктов весьма занимательное занятие. Так что это сложный вопрос, потому что существует много мнений по этому поводу.
