Say the following statements in reported speech.

1. My grandpa said that we might buy a car the following year.

2. The librarian said that books written in English-speaking countries were sold
everywhere.

3. The publisher said the mass media may become even more powerful in the

4. My cousin says that he likes travelling from time to time.

5. The doctor said that you had to take your medicine twice a week.

6. The farmer said that it would rain that day.

7. Our teacher said that some time before no one had known about
computers.

8. Andy says that it’s really amazing to read CD books.

9. Sharon’s mother told me that Sharon was going to come there the next day.

10. Margaret says that she doesn’t feel lonely thanks to the books she loves.

11. Regina said that she had found some fantastic information on the Internet
that morning.

1.  This is the best ball I have.  Это лучший мяч, который у меня есть.

2.  The Gromovs often visit their friends. Громовы часто заходят в гости к своим друзьям. Употребляем артикль the, потому что фамилия употребляется во множественном числе (для обозначения членов одной семьи).

3. Once there lived an angry crocodile. Употребляем артикль an, так как объект упоминается впервые и до этого момента мы о нём не знали. Почему an? Потому, что слово "angry" начинается на гласную.

4. My mother doesn't go to her office every day. Констатация факта. Регулярное действие, к тому же, слово-маркер "every day" - показатель Present Simple.

5. Who lives in that house? Тоже констатация факта, настоящее простое время.

6. Who got many presents? Кто получил много подарков? (В случае под буквой а получается "почему получил...", а в случае с буквой "когда".

7. Are you in the fifth form? Здесь употребляем артикль the, так как именно он ставится перед существительными с порядковыми числительными (артикль a/an только перед числительными в значении "один", "одна"!).

8. The tortoise is cleverer than the hare. Черепаха умнее, чем заяц. Почему не then? Потому, что это слово переводиться как "тогда", "в то время", ну а если оставить как есть (то есть пустой пропуск), то получится несуразное предложение.

9. Who gets up at 6 o'clock? - My brothers does. Констатация факта, Present Simple.

10. Mrs Wood is going to buy a new chair.  Мистер Вуд едет покупать новое кресло. Глаголы у нас с частицей "to" употребляются.

1. This is my sister. My sister's friend is not here.

2. Mrs Black's parents don't work.

3. The Black's house is very nice.

4. Let's go to the children's room.

5. My sisters are at school. I can play with my sister's toys now.

Тут везде притяжательный суффикс. (Например: The Black's house is very nice. Дом мистера Блэка очень красив.)

1) Environment - what we are obliged to keep as a great gift of nature.
2) What we must do to save our environment?
3) We need to stop polluting water, air and soil, because thus, we destroy ourselves and other living organisms that share this planet with us.

4) We have to protect the plants and animals, because they provide us with food, medicine and etc.
5) we should also live peacefully and end all the wars as quickly as possible.
6) It's wrong, hate and fear people of other nationality, who profess another religion.
7) If we could stop wars, future generations would live in the eternal world.
8) In the twenty-first century with a huge number of gadgets people abruptly handed their positions in the field of culture and sports.
9) Our planet is near to its sunset and as it's not a pity we have to fight for the right to survive.
10) And if I didn't like my planet I wouldn't have said it all.
11) So we have to improve the environment, raise the level of education and in no case will sign the contract about the war.
12) Yes, I like my planet, and therefore will try to bring to 

her as much benefit.
