Good morning and welcome to London! My name is Bruce Wayne and i will be your guide today.
We start our tour with the most popular place in our city. This is Big Ben. Officially, the tower is called the Clock Tower, Palace of Westminster. However, most people, the Londoners, call the tower "Big Ben," because it is very large. It weighs 13 tons.
Look on the left. You can see the Thames. it is the main river in London. The Thames is 346 kilometres long.
From here you can also see The London Eye. The London Eye is a large metal structure. It is also known as the Millennium Wheel. Ffrom the highest point of this wheel you can see the whole capital of England. The view from there is really beautiful.
But now we should move to the Buckingham Palace. It is the official London residence and principal workplace of the British monarch.
By the way there are many wonderful parks just in the middle of London. The most popular are St. James’s Park, Regent’s Park, Hyde Park.
I would like to finish out tour for today in the very popular place for those who likes reading detective stories. Right, we're on the Baker's Street. Here Sherlock Holmes lived as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle believed.
