Social trends for young people At what age do you hope to leave home? Most young
people'
of independence and living on their own,
but a 2014 report from Eurofound suggests that more
and more young people in Europe are living with their
parents 2
they are at university, and sometimes into
their late twenties.
Slovenia leads the way, with 85% of 18-29 year olds
still living in their parents' home, but the country that
saw the 3
dramatic change was Hungary. In 2007,
40% of young people lived with their parents, and that
figure went to 76% in 2011.
There are many reasons for this. The global financial
crisis of 2008 hit young people the hardest and the
can still be seen today. Many young people
complain having difficulties in finding well-paid
jobs. Further education is now more expensive?
scholarships and other forms of financial help are less
generous than they were. The real estate market is also
suffering ® __ the impact of the crisis because people
have less money to buy property. All of this means
young people simply can't afford to 9 out of the
family home. However, although the situation is far from
perfect, many young people said living at home helps
up money to buy their own place in the
future.

I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time - I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.
