Saiga is a relatively small cloven-hoofed animal, body length 110-146 cm, tail 8-12 cm, height at the withers 60-79 cm. Weight 23-40 kg. Saiga lives in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Russia and western Mongolia. In 2002, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, this species was classified as "CR", that is, "in critical condition."
