А когда дело доходит до более активных игр, таких как катания на лыжах или коньках, то рад стар и млад. Зимой многие предпочитают кататься на коньках на замороженных водоемах и катках. Катание на коньках является одним из самых важных спортивных состязаний России. Русские также известны своими командами по хоккею с шайбой. Многие лучшие игроки в Канаде и США родом из России.

В России у людей различных национальностей есть свои традиционные упражнения. К примеру, якуты центральной Сибири - первоклассные гонщики оленей, а буряты Восточной Сибири отлично стреляют из лука.
