Task 1. Animals in Great Britain People in Great Britain like animals. There are even special hospitals, which help wild animals. There are a lot of television films about wildlife. They are very popular with children and grown-ups. A lot of British families have ‘bird tables’ in their gardens. Birds can eat from them during the winter months. The ‘bird table’ should be high because cats can eat birds.

The British often think their animals are like people. For example, in Britain animals can have jobs like people. British Rail has cats and pays them for their work. Their job is to catch mice. There is usually one cat per station. They get food and free medical help. The cats don’t catch a lot of mice but they are very popular with the British Rail staff and travellers.

I`d like to tell you about my summer trip to the sea. Last year my family and I went to Anapa. I was very interested in this resort, that`s why I often took pictures of beautiful places there. We were very lucky with the weather. The sea was warm. That is why my sister and I swam for a long time. Our parents couldn`t make us to come back to the beach. It was funny!

In the evening we went to the park. There were a lot of side-shows in it. I tried all of them and I liked them very much.

We had a very interesting menu for our breakfasts, dinners and suppers. There is a lot of fruit in it.

We stayed in the hotel. There was a garden near it. There were many flowers in the garden.

It was the best holiday in my life!

Нам очень повезло с погодой. Море было теплое, поэтому мы с сестрой подолгу плавали. Наши родители не могли заставить нас выйти на берег. Это было смешно!

Вечером мы ходили в парк. Там было много аттракционов. Я на всех покатался и мне они очень понравились.

На завтрак, обед и ужин у нас было очень интересное меню. В нем было много фруктов.

Мы останавливались в отеле. Около него был сад. В саду было много цветов.

Это были лучшие каникулы в моей жизни!
