Journalist Paul Jones visits his old school after 25 years. He goes with his son, Matt, a student at the school. Are things different now? This is Paul’s diary:

Maths (double) The day starts at nine o’clock with maths. The teacher is Mrs Murphy. And she’s very strict. Maths is easy now – Matt always uses a calculator in class!

Break

Food technology This is a new subject for me. We study food, but we don’t cook it. Very strange!

PE Oh no! I’m 42 years old. I sometimes watch gymnastics on TV. It’s OK, but it isn’t my favourite activity.

Lunch The food in the school canteen isn’t bad. Matt isn’t happy because there aren’t any chips today.

ICT School subjects are different these days – they don’t study Latin now. This is difficult! I often use a computer at home, but in class I’m very slow and I don’t finish my project.

French Terrible! The teacher doesn’t speak in English and I don’t understand. And there’s an exam! Matt copies from his friend, I copy from Matt, and the teacher isn’t very happy. School finishes at half past three – phew!

Conclusion An interesting day. School is different these days but not very different. I don’t usually study, but it’s fun!

In my opinion, the summer - the perfect time of year, because it is very warm, nice all around, and we have a great opportunity to relax. And the summer - it's the holidays and vacations. We can go anywhere, to spend a wonderful time at the pond, in the shade of emerald green, splashing around in the warm water. And you can go to the mountains, to be worn on the bike or playing all sorts of games.I want to share impressions from the most memorable moment in the last summer vacation. In July, my family and I organized a trip to the woods on the barbecue. He was divorced a fire, cooked the meat for cooking, and put a tent. While my parents were preparing dinner, I went to the forest to, how to, work up an appetite.Forest on this day was great! The air was filled with the fragrance of flowers, honey and strawberries. Everything was green, the only tree trunks bright spots stand out against the dark green background. Twitter bird in their own language, knocking the woodpecker.Suddenly he heard suspicious noises ... It seemed to me that someone hissed beside me. I turned around and saw a writhing snake ...! I've got the same breath. I do not even remember what she looked like as much afraid. I slowly began to recede, and then rushed to our camp. I decided not to tell her mother everything that had happened, not to worry about it. Later, after dinner and have some fun enough, we packed up and went home.Yes ... Time flies very quickly. It is a pity that it is impossible to repeat those moments and feelings that have been experienced by you during the holidays. But I believe that next summer will also be unforgettable!
