время потому что действие срешилось вчера, а продолжительное оно потому что действие длилось какое-то время 2 It was snowing all day long yesterday - Мы может видеть что дейтсвие было продолжительным так как нам на это указывает слово long  3.What were you doing at 4 p.m. yesterday? - Мы српашивает о продолжительном действие а не мгновенном, поэтому употребили Continuous 4.He was looking at the sky when the boy touched him.- Он смотрел на небо - продолжительное действие которое началось раньше чем его тронул мальчик, а вот как арз мальчик тронул его - это короткое действие, оно закончилось быстро  5. The old lady wathching TV when the telephone rang - Женщина смотрела телевизор продолжительное действие, оно не закончилось и мы не знаем когда началось а телефон зазвонил - действие законченное, мгновенное 6. Where were you standing when you heard this terrible sound?  - Мы употребили Continuous так как он стоял долгое время а услышал звок т- короткое действие
