Once, I met my girlfriend Lisa in the park. She was going to the library. She had a few books in her hands. We sat down ​​on a bench. Lisa told me that she had read the book and remembered an interesting story. It was a book by A. Green called "Crimson Sails". It tells a story of a girl named Assol. She lived with her father. They were poor. Gonna dreamt about a prince who would sail up to her in a boat with crimson sails. And one day her dream came true. The prince arrived in a ship with crimson sails and took her to his castle. This way the story ends.
I liked the story very much. I went with Lisa to the library and took the book "Crimson Sails".

Вклад украинских ученых в развитие мировой науки поистине огромный. Представитель направления механики Иосиф Тимченко подарил человечеству ртутный барометр, электронные часы, устройство для проверки манометров. Родился конструктор в Харькове, после чего переехал в Одессу, где и прожил свою интересную жизнь. В памяти благодарных потомков Иосиф Андреевич навсегда останется олицетворением того, что именно украинские ученые создали прообраз кинескопа. К сожалению, прибор не был запатентован. И другой человек вошел в историю как его создатель. Кстати, найденный Иосифом Андреевичем скачковый механизм стал основой еще и для стробоскопа.

The contribution of Ukrainian scientists to the development of world science is truly enormous. The representative of the direction of mechanics Joseph Timchenko presented mankind with a mercury barometer, an electronic clock, a device for checking manometers. The designer was born in Kharkov, after which he moved to Odessa, where he lived his interesting life. In the memory of grateful descendants, Joseph Andreevich will forever remain the embodiment of the fact that it was Ukrainian scientists who created the prototype of the kinescope. Unfortunately, the device was not patented. And the other person went down in history as its creator. By the way, the jump mechanism found by Joseph Andreevich became the basis for the strobe too.
