L’viv Museums and GalleriesThe Museum of Ethnography and Crafts in L'viv is the only one of the kind in Ukraine. A close friend of Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka, and Vassil Stefanik, Trush headed progressive trends in West Ukrainian fine arts for more than 40 years. His numerous landscapes are an expression of the painter's love for his motherland. His remarkable portraits of his contemporaries and his genre paintings depicting the life of the Hutsul peasants have become part of the treasury of the 20th century Ukrainian national art.
