Today more and more people are interested in studying foreign languages. In my view, studying abroad is a great experience and its benefits are indisputable. Thus, foreign student exchange programs are a great way for students world-wide to experience life in another country. To begin with, as a student residing, you are totally immersed in the language both in and outside of school. You have to carry out all daily activities like awareness of traffic signs and road regulations, asking for directions or socializing with native people in the target language. Besides, if you live with a host family you will definitely improve your conversational skills because you avoid speaking you mother's tongue. You watch films, listen to music and carry out regular tasks in the language of the host country. Additionally, all school subjects are taught in a foreign language. As for other advantages, you become more self-disciplined because you have to shoulder lots of duties such as planning expenses and doing chores around the house. Besides, studying abroad is an unforgettable cultural experience. By meeting new people from around the world one will be able to know more about different ideologies, faiths, cultures and ways of life. So, it is.a splendid opportunity to make new friends. However, studying abroad has some drawbacks. Firstly, it may be stressful for children as they have to live apart from their family. Secondly, they may experience language barrier problems. That's why students should be able to speak in the language of a host country, at least, on a basic level. Personally, 1 think that if a person has a real wish to study abroad, then he will find ways to cope with stress. Taking into consideration all mentioned above, international student exchange is, undoubtedly, beneficial for all schoolchildren. However, it is very important to decide whether or not you really want to study abroad, away from your family and friends, and adjust to unfamiliar customs, culture and environment.
My friend's room is very light and large. There is a sofa on the right. Next to the sofa there is a yellow nightstand. You can see a vase with flowers on her dresser. On the left side of the dresser there is a window. And next to the window there is her desk where she does her homework. Of course, she has a computer desk with her new net-book which connected to Internet. Along the long wall of my friend's room there is a book-case with many shelves for books and CD-disks. There are some posters with her favorite pop-singers on the walls. And in the middle of the room there is a colorful carpet.
