A. Hawaii is a collection of six small islands near the centre of the Pacific Ocean. It is always warm in Hawaii, and the islands are very beautiful. On some of the islands, the sand on the beaches is not only white, but also black, red and even green. The Big Island of Hawaii is known for its active volcano, Lava flows out of it every day and makes the island grow.
B. Because Hawaii is so beautiful and warm, it is one of the tourists' favourite places to visit. Millions of tourists visit the islands every year. This creates ecological problems. Big hotels are built in the most beautiful areas, the air and the water are becoming less clean. More and more people move to Hawaii to work in the tourist industry. The traditional Hawaiian culture is disappearing

C. Hawaiian language is very unique. There are only twelve letters inthe Hawaiian alphabet: A, E, O, I, U, K, L, M, P, H, and W. This makes it very difficult to translate some of the names and words from other languages. "David", for example, is translated into Hawaiian as "Kawika", since there is no D sound. And "Merry Christmas" is "Mele Kalikimaka"!
D. Hawaiian culture is famous for its beautiful music. The style of slack-key guitar is well-known around the world and is often used in Hollywood films. The ukulele - a very small guitar with only four strings is a traditional Hawaiian musical instrument which is becoming more and more popular in many countries. Queen Lili'uokalani, the last Hawaiian queen, was a musician and composer. Her song "Aloha 'De'' has become a symbol of Hawaii.​
