Space exploration — the discovery and exploration of outer space using space technology. Physical exploration of space conducted both with manned space flight and unmanned spacecraft. Technical study of the cosmos preceded the development of astronomy and the creation of large and relatively efficient rockets in the early twentieth century. Space exploration was one area of rivalry between the USSR and the USA in the cold war. The beginning of the era of space exploration can be considered the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite — Sputnik 1 launched by Soviet Union on 4 October 1957. The Soviet space program was at the forefront.

Я считаю, что люди осваивают космос потому, что ищут лучшей жизни. Многие ученые думают, что где-то в солнечной системе есть планеты, пока не известные нам. Там хорошая экология и нет выбросов.  Земля уже совсем освоена, а людей становится все больше. То, что мы сейчас считаем невозможным, в будущем может стать реальностью. Я уверена, что через несколько сотен лет люди будут сами выбирать свое место жительства, так как обитаемой будет не только Земля. Президенты всех развитых государств тратят большие деньги для того, чтобы космонавты именно их страны стали лучшими. Благодаря этому соперничеству лидирующая страна войдет в историю. Это будет примером для последующих поколений. Думаю, что сейчас именно в нашей стране самое лучшее оборудование для полетов в космос.
