1. I think it is difficult to get a good idea of a typical American teenager because there are certain stereotypes that show that most lead a wrong lifestyle, getting totally spoilt, using drugs and doing other stuff.
2. Typical American teenagers are in fact very ordinary. They think their teachers make them work too hard; they love their parents but are sure they don't understand anything, and their friendships are the most important things in their lives.
3. To my mind American teenagers feel so independent from their parents due to the fact they have earned the money only by themselves taking part-time jobs while they are in school.
4. They usually work at movie theatres, fast-food restaurants, gas stations, and stores to pay for their clothes and entertainment.
5. Most American teenagers both work and study because they understand that, unless they do these things beforehand, the winning shall not have come to them that easy.
6. Russian teenagers are different from American ones at least for one reason lying in question about how they do feel about their appearances. Russian high school girls will never turn up at school dressed up in clothes with any creases unlike American ones, to whom it makes no difference.
7. I would characterize a typical Russian teenager like every other teenager from any other country who likes doing the normal for his age stuff, such as watching TV, eating in some kind of restaurants, going in for sports, meeting and hanging out with his friends, and so forth.

Mr Black (has not made) an appointment on the phone yet. 8. I had never seen her before. 9. The train (had started) when they arrived at the station. 10.
