Mohammed Aman was born in Asella, Ethiopia, on January 10,1994. At the age of 12, he ran at school and was very fast. In 2008, he won his first International race in Nigeria. He won a silver medal at the World Youth Championship in France in 2011 for the 800 metres. In that race, he set a national record. He broke his own record in September that same year. On August 9, he came sixth at the 2012 Olympics in London. At the age of 19, Mohammed won the gold medal at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. Mohammad wants to go to the next Olympics. We think he'll do really well!

The world is full of beautiful and wonderful places. Each of them has its own charm, be it a desert island, hot desert or the cold North. Every summer my parents we go somewhere to relax. I have been to the Black Sea, in Montenegro and Abkhazia. But most of all I dream to visit Greece.

Теплое ласковое море, белоснежный песок, достопримечательности, известные на весь мир, знаменитые сиртаки, мезе, оливки – все это я мечтаю увидеть и попробовать. Греция славится древнейшими памятниками архитектуры, культуры и искусства. Кроме этого, мне интересно посмотреть на иностранцев, на другую страну, на то, как они себя ведут, как разговаривают.

My School

I study at one of the oldest schools of our city. It is more than 80 years old.

At first it was an old wooden building, but it was burnt down during the war. After the war a new two-storey building was built. Then, in the 1960-s, the third floor was added to it. Ten years later another addition was made including a large gym, a spacious assembly hall, a library and a canteen.

On the ground floor of our school there are classrooms for different subjects, such as History, Mathematics, Russian Language and Literature, Foreign Languages and Crafts. Our classrooms are large although there are a few smaller ones, where we have English and German. There are Physics, Biology and Chemistry labs on the first floor. Our three Computer Science classrooms are also situated on the first floor. On the second floor there are Geography, History, Arts classrooms and our school museum.

We have a lot of opportunities to do sports at our school. There is a gym, an outdoor football pitch and a sports ground for playing basketball and volleyball. It would be great to have a swimming pool, but there isn’t any. Although it is the only downside.

Our school is a great place for children because of its dedicated teachers. Most of them are kind and respectful to pupils. Our teachers are always ready to answer our questions and listen to our problems.

School is a place where we all spend a great deal of our life and often make lifelong friends. I believe I will always remember my school.
