MAGNETISM
It for centuries that certain black, heavy stones have the property of iron, this property is called magnetism. A magnet is a body that exhibits magnetism.
The two parts of a magnet that show the magnetism are called the North pole and the South pole.
Magnets not only affect ordinary iron, but they affect one another. When a pole of one magnet toward a pole of the magnet, they won't attract if both are north poles or both are south poles, but they will attract if one is a north pole and the other a south pole.
The region in which magnetic forces act is called a magnetic field. Iron in a strong magnetic field becomes magnetized.
Electricity and magnetism are connected. Many practical applications have resulted from the of the magnetic effects of an electric current. These effects are used in motors, in most electric meters, in electromagnets and in practically all electromechanical apparatus.

parrots are highly intelligent birds and can make wonderful pets, but there are some things to know about them and their care requirements before making the decision to get one. first, parrots are wild by nature, not domesticated (like dogs and cats), so they retain many behaviors and instincts of their cousins in the wild. next, parrots are not all the same species, and so you will need to learn qualities of your particular parrot species when getting one. lastly, parrots live much longer than most other pets: smaller parrots (cockatiels or parrotlets) can live 20-30 years, while the larger species (macaws, amazons, or cockatoos) can live to be 60-80 years old.[1]
the end of the year is just that time for favorites lists – and i’ve written about the best travel books many times over! i love talking about travel books. why? because part of the tool belt of any traveler is a good book. long bus, train, or plane rides can get pretty boring and can give you a lot of “dead” time if you haven’t mastered the art of the 10-hour blank stare. additionally, reading travel books helps you learn about the destinations you are visiting. the more you know about a place, the more you can understand a place.
i am a voracious reader and have even started a book club on this website to share all the books i read. today is another one of those days where i share some of the books i’ve read recently! if you’re looking for some great reads, here are my current list of the best travel books to inspire you to travel far-off lands:
