From the passage, we can gather that the writer is discussing the issue of plastic toys being included in kid's magazines and the negative impact they have on the environment. Skye, a 10-year-old girl, has started a petition to urge publishers to stop using plastic in their publications. Based on the information given, we need to choose the correct options to complete the sentences.

A: The correct answer is 3) are called. The passage states that the plastic toys included in the magazines are "covermounts". This implies that they are called covermounts.

B: The correct answer is 2) has had. The passage mentions that Skye receives more than 3 useless plastic toys every month. This indicates that she has already received them in the past, so we use the present perfect tense "has had".

C: The correct answer is 1) doesn't play. The passage states that Skye receives plenty of plastic toys and has them on the shelf. However, it does not mention if she plays with them or not. Since we don't have any information indicating that she plays with the toys, we use the negative form "doesn't play".

D: The correct answer is 4) is now attracting. The passage states that Skye's initiative to ban plastic toys from magazines has gained the attention of publishers and media sources. The present continuous tense "is now attracting" accurately conveys the ongoing action.

E: The correct answer is 1) the. The sentence mentions that Skye has been featured in national newspapers such as "the" BBC. "The" is the definite article used before the name of a specific organization or institution, like the BBC.

To summarize:
A: 3) are called
B: 2) has had
C: 1) doesn't play
D: 4) is now attracting
E: 1) the
