Раскройти скобки употребив правильную формуглагола в конструкции сложное дополнение. Lena: I know, Pete, you've been to Great Britain lately, all expect you (to tell) us about your impressions of the country. Pete: You see, everything was so interestingI really don't know what to begin with. Look, let's (to do) it this way. You'd better ask me questions. Lena: First of all I'd like you (to tell) me a bout English people. What are they like'? What's their attitude to the Russian Federation? Pete: They are very nice and welcoming. During our meetings I often heard them (to say) that they wanted to have friendly relations with our country. But I must say the British don't know much about Russia and some of their questions made us (to feel) at a loss (pacrepaTbCA). Lena: I've read a lot about the British love for tradition. Are they really so fond of old custorms and all that sort of things? Pele: I think they are. Everything British is very dear to them: beginning with national holidays up to sports games. And the British are famous for their love for their homes and pets (AOM AUIHHE HBOTH Ne), pubs and, certainly, tea! They are sald to be the greatest drinkers in the world. Lena: And how do the people in England spend their free time?Pete: Some people go out, but many people stay at home and read or watch television in the evening. I often saw them (to work) in the garden or (to play) golf and tennis after a long day in the office. Lena: What do they usually do at weekends? Pete: Most people go to the country or to the seaside, which is not far from any place in Great Britain. You can watch thousands of cars (to leave) the town on Saturday morning and (to come back) on Sunday evening. Some people prefer staying at home and having a rest with their families. Same as we do here. Lena: That sounds nice.

1

Most of people go to school in their childhood, it is our basic education. But still there are some people who didn’t go to school, but got their education at home. This is called distant learning

2

Distant education also has another meaning. When we go to university or want to start some advanced courses there is an option to have distant learning. The advantage of such learning is that you can study in another country without leaving your own one. It gives you more freedom in your schedule – you don’t have to attend lessons, so one can combine studying and working. Distant learning gives you a chance to have a certificate in any field that you like and choose education you

3

Distant learning is when a child doesn’t go to school, but studies at home on his own or with the help of a tutor. It may be because of his health, or because his family travels a lot or for some other reasons. There are of course advantages of such learning – you can get concentrated on what you read and study, you have as much time as you need to understand the material. But on the other hand school is not only about studying, it’s about communication with other people, it’s finding your place in the society, getting friends, learning how to behave in public and so on. So I think that if it is possible a child should go to school.
